Dr. Sawczuk and Ultrasound Services Featured in The Record
Certified ultrasound technologists are in demand, relates an article featured in a recent issue of The Record’s “North Jersey Jobs” section. The piece, “Ultrasound Echoes of Booming Career Path,” discussed various uses for ultrasound technology in several North Jersey hospitals and the need for more ultrasound technologists to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating illnesses. Photographed and quoted was Ihor S. Sawczuk, M.D., chairman of the Department of Urology and chief of the Division of Urologic Oncology at the John Theurer Cancer Center at Hackensack University Medical Center. Dr. Sawczuk was photographed in an operating room with ultrasound technology that is used during prostate biopsies and kidney cryoablation procedures.
